Bombay Velvet is a Hindi movie with genre of crime and drama. Movie stars actor Ranbir Kapoor and Anuksha Sharma, with Karan Johar in lead roles. Amit Trivedi has given music for this movie and Phantom Films is the producing company. Movie is directed by Anurag Kashyap.

The movie depicts the time of 1960’s. Balraj a.k.a Ranbir Kapoor, plays the role of street fighter and used to do fight in underworld. But one day he sees Rosie a.k.a Anuskha Sharma and got in love with her and always Juvial to see her. But he sees that she always with rich guys. So, he decides to become one.

He and his friend Chimman reaches to Karan Johar a.k.a Kaizad Khambatta for work, which then assign the job to run his bars and all. Kaizad Khambatta also gives them some illegal works. He one day sends them to film the photographs of a minister, and later blackmail the same to get money. Somehow the news reaches to Jimmy Mistri, and he was also among the people with whom Rosie used to be. Jimmy Mistri comes to know about the crush of Balraj towards the Rosie, thus uses her to take information and photographs about that minister. But Rosie tends to fall in love with the Balraj.

But Jimmy warns Rosie of disclosing her real identity in front of Balraj, if she doesn’t gives the info which he asked for. Movie continues and latter is the suspense about it.

Total budget of the movie was around 110 crore. But just managed to earn 31 crore and was a flop at the box office. But the way they have shown of 60’s have been in the movie is really best and acting from all the leading roles is something to cheer about.
