“Ludo” is a Hindi dark comedy film written and directed by Anurag Basu. It’s an anthology film that comprises of 4 different stories intertwined into one movie. Dark comedy is a new genre by Basu and his fans are waiting for a pleasant surprise this time. The poster of the film looks intriguing too with 4 colors of a Ludo board allotted for each story and the dice rolling in glory at the center. “Ludo” stars a huge ensemble cast, including Abhishek Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kaur, Rajkumar Rao, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Asha Negi, Rohit Suresh Saraf and Pankaj Tripathi. The film was initially scheduled to be released on March 13 but later on the release date was finalized for April 24, 2020.
“Ludo” comes with 4 chapters and each chapter has a different story to tell. The movie sheds light on the unavoidable jeopardizes in life that we will have to face and deal with. All the stories of the film are based in top metro cities in India. As per the sources, the maximum part of the chapter with junior Bachchan has been shot in Kolkata and Mumbai. Basu himself unveiled the first look of the film poster on Twitter last December with a fun caption , “Let’s play #Ludo”.
“Ludo” is jointly produced by Anurag Basu and Bhushan Kumar. The stories of the film are jointly penned by Basu and Hussain Dalal. On the other hand, Tushar Hiranandani has written the screenplay of the film. The music of the film is composed by Pritam and Tony Kakkar. Basu’s films have always enthralled us with soulful scores and we are expecting the same with the upcoming movie as well. Ravi K. Chandran is the cinematographer of the movie and Steven Bernard has donned the role of editor for the film. “Ludo” is distributed by AA Films.
