After months of treatment in London, Irrfan is finally back to Bollywood and the whole film industry is relieved to have one of their most beloved actors back. “Angrezi Medium” marks the comeback film of Irrfan and promises to introduce a heartwarming story of the emotional bond between a doting dad and his daughter. The film is a spin-off of Irrfan’s 2017 superhit comedy Hindi Medium. “Angrezi Medium” has Irrfan in the lead role along with Radhika Madan, Poorvi Jain, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepak Dobriyal, Pankaj Tripathi and Ranvir Shorey. Veteran actress Dimple Kapadia too dons an interesting role in the movie. The film will release on March 13, 2020.
Set in Rajasthan, “Angrezi Medium” revolves around father-daughter duo Champak Bansal (Irrfan Khan) and Tarika Bansal (Radhika Madan). Tarika is an intelligent student who aims to carry her higher education overseas. The story takes a new turn when she wins a prestigious academic award in school which inspires to fulfill her dream of studying in the UK a reality. A doting dad, Champak is ready to go to any length to fulfill her daughter’s wishes and he sets for London to get his daughter admitted in her dream college. Poorvi Jain has donned the role of Champak’s wife in the film while Dobriyal is his brother. Pankaj Tripathi portrays the role of travel agent whom Irrfan consults while arranging for his trip to London. A major part of the movie is also based in London and Kareena Kapoor Khan dons the role of a cope in the English capital.
“Angrezi Medium” is produced by Maddock Films and directed by Homi Adajania. The film is distributed by Jio Studios and Pen India Limited. Anil Mehta is the cinematographer of the film while the movie has been edited by A. Sreekar Prasad. Music is scored by Guru Randhawa and Sachin-Jigar.
