If you think Dharma Productions flicks are all about family dramas and emotional sagas, their upcoming film is sure to challenge your thoughts altogether. Karan Johar’s celebrated production house is all set to release an out-and-out horror film this time which will shake you out to the core.
Titled “Bhoot- Part One: The Haunted Ship”, their upcoming movie is a Hindi-language horror flick, starring master actors like Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar as well as Ashutosh Rana. The posters and the trailer of the film are already doing the rounds and if these spooky cues are to be believed- we do have a spine-chilling spectre awaiting end of the month. “Bhoot-Part One: The Haunted Ship” will be officially released on February 21, 2020.
Interestingly, the plot of the movie is based on a real incident that happened in Mumbai. “Bhoot-Part One: The Haunted Ship” revolves around a static ship that had been lying abandoned on a city beach for a long time. The story starts when a young couple (played by Kaushal and Pednekar) steps into that ship only to find that they have landed up in a haunted vessel that might not leave them alive.
“Bhoot-Part One: The Haunted Ship” has been directed by debutant director BhanuPratap Singh. The movie is jointly produced by HirooYashJohar, Karan Johar, ShashankKhaitan and Apoorva Mehta. The principal photography of the film began in 2018 December and the entire shooting was concluded by 2019 September.
The film has experimented with high-end VFX and has banked on innovative cinematography and creative background scores to create the desired spooky ambience. AkhilSachdeva of “Humsafar” fame (BadrinathkiDulhania) has composed the music for the film while Pushkar Singh is behind the ingenious cinematography of the movie. The film is distributed by Zee Studios.
