After the magnum success of “Dream Girl” and “Bala” last year, Ayshmann Khurrana is all set to knock your thoughts once again with his upcoming movie “Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan”. The film is a social romantic comedy which is a spin-off of the actor’s 2017-hit “Shubh Mangal Saavdhan”.

Added to Khurrana, the film stars Gajraj Rao, Jitendra Kumar and Neena Gupta in lead roles. Bhumi Pednekar, the lead actress of “Shubh Mangal Saavdhan”, will also be seen is a special appearance in the movie. “Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan” will officially hit the movie theatres on February 21, 2020.

Set in Varanasi, “Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan” touches on the topic of homosexual love story and same-sex marriage. Khurrana, who plays the role of Kartik Singh in the movie, first announced the movie on Twitter with a touching video. The video started with iconic love stories we have read and seen in literature and movies over the years.

Stressing on the fact that although almost all the romantic sagas that we have watched till date are mostly heterosexual- the video also zooms on the fact that there also have been several homosexual love stories which have not been brought to the fore previously. “Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan” is a brave attempt to elevate those touching same-sex love stories to the mainstream which are still considered to be a taboo in our society.

“Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan” is written and directed by Hitesh Kewalya. The shooting of the movie concluded in December 19 and the first official trailer was launched on January 2020. The movie is produced by Colour Yellow Productions and T-Series. Chirantan Das of “Tanu Weds Manu”-fame is the cinematographer of the film while Tanishk Bagchi and Vayu have composed the music for the movie. The film is distributed by AA Films.
