The famous Yash Raj Films is all set to come up in 2020 with their upcoming historical drama “Prithviraj” which is slated to be theatrically released in India on 13th November, 2020, during the occasion of Diwali. The famous actor – script writer Chandra Prakash Dwivedi has directed the film. The movie casts, the Khiladi of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar in the lead role. Other actors playing major roles in the movie include Manushi Chhillar, Sanjay Dutta, ManavVij, Sonu Sood ,Ashutosh Rana, Sakshi Tawar , Govind Pandey , Lalit Tiwari  as well as Ajoy Chakborty. The winner of Miss World 2017, Manushi Chhillar, is all set to make her debut with the movie.

Interestingly, the story of the movie is about the life of one of the most fearless and courageous kings of India, Prithviraj Chauhan. The king is considered as one of the bravest rulers of the Chahamana Dynasty, who fought against the huge Ghurid army when they tried to invade the country in 1192 CE. The 52-year old actor, Khiladi Kumar plays the role of “Chauhan” with Manushi Chillar portraying the role of Prithviraj’s love interested “Samyukta” in the movie. ManavVij is playing as “Muhammad Ghori” with Ashutosh Rana as “Jayachandra”. Previously, Akshay Kumar was seen in the war drama “Kesari” based on historical battle of Saragarhi, which chronicled a battle between 21 soldiers of the 36th Sikhs of the British Indian Army and 6000-10000 Afghan troops. A special attraction of the movie would a special sequence in which the director Chandra Prakash Dwivedi as well as the gorgeous Rani Mukerji will be seen along with Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chillar.

The principal photography of the film began on 15th September 2019.The movie is produced by Aditya Chopra. The music is arranged by IIaiyaraja. SanthoshThundiyil is the cinematographer of the movie and Namrata Rao is the Editor.
