Happy New Year is a Bollywood action cum comedy film that was released on 24 October 2014. Movie starts lot of acclaimed actors and actress from Bollywood like: Shah Rukh khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Boman Irani etc. Movie was a commercial success which earned around 340 crore rupees all around the world.

Plot of the movie is based on the life of Shah Rukh Khan a.k.a Charlie, who father was made responsible for stealing diamonds from his own company even though he never did that. Charan Grover (Jackie Sharoff), was the main culprit behind trapping and framing his father in this scam and taking away all the diamonds with him. Charlie wants to take revenge from Charan.

One day he finds out about diamond of around $300 million crore are coming to the Atlantis Palm Hotel and Charlie wants to steal them and wants to frame Grover for the same. So, to get his work done, he makes a team of experts in their field to accomplish this mission.

But to make mission possible, they have to take part in a Dance competition to take carry out their mission. And rest is the suspense of the movie.

Movie is full of dance as the plot involves so, the music given by the duo Vishal and Shekhar is something which adds more weight to the movie. There is an electronic song also in this movie. Around 125 crore money was spend while making this. Production Company is Red Chillies Entertainment and movie is produced by Gauri Khan. Movie is among the highest grossing movies ever in India.
