Holy day for Christians across the world
Every religion has different festivals as there are various events associated with different festivals in every culture. The Easter is the day celebrated by the Christians and it is the best attended Sunday in all the Christian churches. This Easter day is observed by all the Christians irrespective of their sects. They believe that the Jesus came back to life, or was raised from death from the cross on this particular day, three days after his death. Therefore this day holds a great significance in the Christians all over the world. The Friday just before the Easter is considered as the death day of the Jesus and is called as the Good Friday.
Easter is the mark that ends people fasting. Easter is considered as a public holiday in all the states or nations where Christians are the major population. As it regularly comes on Sunday, many of the countries also declare Monday of the same week as a public holiday. Many of the outlets and shops remain closed on these days and Good Friday which occurs before this day is also considered as Public holiday in many countries.
People have the custom of decorating and creating the Easter eggs on this particular day. They decorate the eggs red in memory of Christ blood which shed at the time of his crucifixion. The custom of the Easter egg originated in the Christian community Mesopotamia. Easter egg symbolically represents the empty tomb.
In olden days, to make it in red, people used to dye the chicken eggs in red color. Christians celebrate this festival with great zeal. They visit the church and offer prayers. Dine and dance happens on this day. Many of the businessman also decorate their shop as well as office to mark the celebration of Easter.
