Doon University in Dehradun, Uttarakhand was set up in 2005 by the State Government of Uttarakhand and it is recognized by the University Grant Commission. The main aim of the university is to provide and maintain high quality in teaching, research, and education. The university campus covers 22.26 acres of land. The university has 8 Schools of various departments i.e, School of Environment & Natural Resources, School of Media & Communication Studies, School of Languages, School of Management, School of Technology, School of Social Sciences, School of Physical Sciences, and School of Design.

Eligibility Criteria
- Admission in UG courses is granted on the basis of merit in the 12th class and entrance exam conducted by the university
- Candidates seeking admission in MBA have to clear CAT/MAT and final selection is dependent on the performance in Group discussion & Personal Interview
- Candidates seeking admission in M.Tech must have a valid score in the GATE
- Admission in Ph.D. is decided by CSIR NET or UGC NET score followed by an interview
