Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (also known as IIT Kharagpur and IIT KGP) was inaugurated by the Government of India in 1951 and it was the first IIT established in India. IIT Kharagpur achieved the status of the “Institution of National Importance” from the Indian Parliament. The rank of IIT Kharagpur was 4th in 2019 by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates seeking admission to the UG programs must have 75% in the Higher Secondary exam from a recognized board
• Candidates seeking admission to B.Tech need to clear JEE Advanced
• Candidates seeking admission to M.Sc need to clear IIT-JAM
• Admission to MBA is granted on the basis of CAT score followed by GD & PI
• Admission in M.Tech is decided by the GATE exam
• Admission in Ph.D. is granted on the basis of UGC NET/CSIR NET score followed by the Personal Interview
