Assam Science and Technology University is situated in Guwahati, Assam and it was inaugurated by the Govt. of Assam in 2010. The university is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and UGC. It was started with the aim to enhance the quality of education and provide education in the field of Engineering, Management, Pharmaceuticals, Architecture, and planning & designing. The university has UG, PG, and Doctoral programs in various streams for deserving candidates. The university campus is spread over an area of 400 acres. 

Assam Science and Technology University Courses

• It provides B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication/Telecommunication Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Industrial and Production Engineering, Power Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, and Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• B.Sc in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, IT, Applied Physics, Computer Science, and Electronics Science.
• M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Communication Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Energy Engineering, Thermal, and Fluid Engineering, and Water Resources Management.
• Ph.D. in Pharmacy, Management Studies, Science, and Engineering 
• And the other courses include B.Pharm, B.Arch, BCA, D.Pharm, M.Pharm, MBA, MCA, M.Arch.

Eligibility Criteria

• The eligibility criteria for admission in B.Tech and M.Tech are decided by a valid score in Assam CEE and GATE entrance exam.
• Admission to the Ph.D. course is decided by valid marks in UGC-NET/ JRF/ GATE entrance exam. 
• The rest of the UG courses required a 10+2 with min. 50% aggregate.
• The admission in PG courses is decided on the basis of merit and a graduation degree.

Placement

The university has a placement and training center to enhance the student’s skills and knowledge. Almost 70% of students are selected for the job every year.

• The university provides a big library with more than 20,000 books, and journals within the campus.
• The university also offered a boys hostel within the campus.
• The faculty of the university is highly qualified with a Ph.D. and 10+ years of experience.
