Dibrugarh University is a university in the Indian state of Assam. It was situated up in 1965 under the procurements of the Dibrugarh University Act, 1965, established by the Assam Legislative Assembly. It is an instructing cum-affiliating college with constrained private offices. Dibrugarh University is a part of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). The degrees gave by this college are perceived by all colleges in India and abroad on equal premise. From the scholarly session of 2009-10 the college transformed its scholastic framework from the semester framework to the decision based credit framework.
The University is located in a campus of 203 hectares out of which 74.3 hectares are under tea plantation. The University has regional purview in excess of seven locale of Upper Assam, viz. The land locale of the University covers 21,706 sq. m, which is around 28 percent of the aggregate geographic range of Assam.
