What is Swamitva Yojana?
In India, most people in the villages have no record of their land. People do not even have any documents to prove ownership. This causes a situation of confusion and dispute. Under this scheme, the residential property in rural areas will be mapped with the help of drones and Google mapping. Eligibility Requirement
Once it is proved that you are the owner of rural land then you will be provided an ownership record.
All those people who are using the land in the rural areas on or after September 25, 2018, will be accepted as the owner and will be provided an ownership certificate.
How does the Swamitva Yojana work?
Indian Government will use the drone and google mapping techniques to mapping the land in rural residential areas. Then the Government will make a digital map of every land and house in rural areas which will be more accurate. The Government will measure the house or land areas without any error and decide which house resides in which area. After measurement and confirmation of ownership, a certificate of ownership, or ownership cards will be allotted to the owner.
