CMAT is considered as one of the essential entrance examinations for the students who aim for admission in b-schools. This exam is conducted by All India Council for Technical Education, popularly recognized as AICTE. As a matter of fact, AICTE conducts this entrance examination twice in a year. There are around 1500 business schools which take the scores of CMAT into account. This exam is a computer based entrance test which is held for 5 days. Each day takes in account two slots. The first test is conducted during the month of September whereas the second round of test is conducted in the month of February. This completes the two periodic rounds of CMAT exam. The candidates for CMAT are eligible to appear in both rounds of examination and the best score will be taken into the consideration.
The questions based in this exam are generally objective type questions having multiple choices. The best part about this examination is that you do not need to worry about age limitations. Unlike other competitive examinations, CMAT does not have any restriction for age.
Here are some essential educational qualifications (graduations or diploma) which must be fulfilled by the candidate in order to become eligible for appearing in CMAT:
- You need to hold a bachelor’s degree. The time durations of graduation must be of least three years. Not only this, you must also ensure that you have attained 50 percent marks in your entire bachelor’s course. In case if the candidate is from the reserved category, he must hold 45 percent marks throughout his graduation.
- If the candidate holds any bachelor degree of minimum duration of three years or five years relevant supervisory or managerial experience, you need to attain 50 percent marks throughout the course. Again, if you are from reserved category or belong to minority, you need to attain 45 percent marks.
