The IES or the Indian Engineering Services 2014 Entrance Exam is an entrance exam which will be organized under the aegis of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The exam is a 3 day long process. It is an examination which is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) which is organized once in a year. The Indian Engineering Service (IES) exam is mainly made up of Engineers who work under the Government Of India. If you are selected to work then you will be given the function of managing a large section of the economy of the Public sector which includes the Public works, Railroads, Power and Telecommunications from amongst the others.
In order to appear for the exam, you must be an engineering graduate from a recognized university or board with an excellent academic score in the subjects of civil, electronics and communication, electrical and mechanical as well as telecommunication engineering.
The selection of the candidates will be done in through 2 stages of tests with the help of U.P.S.C. conducted written examination which comprises of 5 papers which will be completed in a span of 3 days. The short listed candidates will be called for the interview process. The candidate which is selected for the exam will have to work under government of India’s engineering department. The applicant’s age must be between 21 to 30 years. The examinations will be conducted in important places across India.
The fee for the exams is only Rs. 200 for the General and also the OBC candidates. You have the option of paying the fees through online mode and offline mode as well.
