In order to give any examination, it has its own eligibility criterion which is made up of a number of conditions which is able to determine the requirements of eligibility of a candidate who wishes to appear for the exam.. If the candidate is able to satisfy all of the conditions then they will be eligible to sit for the examination. Here are some of the criteria for sitting in the exam:

Nativity: In order to be eligible for the examination the candidate has to be a citizen of India, he should also be a person of Indian origin (POI) or even an overseas Citizen of India (OCI). They may also be split up in the following categories: Keralites who will be from Kerala state and the Non-Keralites who will not belong to the Kerala state which will help in determining the Eligibility Criteria.

Academic Eligibility: As a candidate for his exam, you should have qualified in the Kerala HSC or even an equivalent exam with a minimum of 0% marks separately in Mathematics and 50% marks in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, and or Chemistry or Biology or even Bio-Technology.

Age: No upper age limit applies for taking this exam. But the candidate should be 17 years till December 2016.

So this is the eligibility criteria which should be followed by the candidates. Other than this the SC/ST candidates receive relaxation in age and qualifying marks but they will have to produce the certificate for the same. Only then they will be able to get the relaxation and apply for the exam.

Thus, it is very important that the candidates have prior information about the eligibility criteria and ensure that the same is fulfilled in any case. The applications can be rejected if the eligibility criteria are not fulfilled.
