Are you a KIITEE 2020 candidate? Here are a few quota details that you need to know before you apply for the entrance examination. Like every other university, the KIIT also keeps separate quotas and the candidates filling out the forms have to mention their quotas in the application form itself.
The seats to the eligible candidates are distributed on the basis of the KIITEE 2020 Reservation quotas. And these seats are usually distributed according to each category of quota.
The following is the distribution of the quotas:
- For the scheduled castes : 15% of the seats
- For the scheduled tribes: 7.5% of the seats
- For the physically challenged: 3% of the seats.
- Rest amount of seats are kept for the unreserved or general candidates.
There will be a completely separate merit list for each category and the admissions will be taken accordingly. The physically challenged candidates can apply under the quota for the physically challenged provided that they have 40% disability in regard to the Section 39 of Persons with Disabilities Act of 1955 (Equal Participation).
- The 3% of the Physically Handicapped who are eligible to apply for the KIITEE 2020 are the ones that have locomotor disabilities because the institution doesn’t have enough facilities. The quotas reserved for the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes are for the candidates who belong to that quota by birth and not due to adoption or by marriage.
- For every category, there will be 30% of the seats that will be reserved for the women candidates who apply for the courses of B.Tech, M.Tech and MBA.
If there are any seats in the reserved category that remains unfulfilled, it will automatically be converted to the general category.
