The Central University of Himachal Pradesh was set up in 2009 after the announcement of the former Prime Minister of India, ‘Each state should have a central university’, on 15th August 2007. The university is approved and granted by the AlCTE & UGC and awarded as ‘B++’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It offers UG, PG, and Doctoral level programs for various academic courses. The university is well known for its contribution to Swach Bharat Abhiyaan to make India neat and clean.

Eligibility Criteria

• Admission in UG courses are based on merit and Higher Secondary in relevant subject with a minimum of 55% aggregate
• Admission in PG courses is decided on the basis of a valid score in the entrance exam conducted by the university
• Admission in Ph.D. is given on the basis of the entrance test conducted by the university followed by a personal interview

Placement

Training and placement department is available in the university that takes special measures like organizing seminars, interviews, and mock tests to improve the performance of students in the placement. Some of the companies like Infosys, HCL, OYO already visited the university and picked up MBA students for jobs.
