Dau Shri Vasudev Chandrakar Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya was set up on 11th April 2012 by the Governor of Chhattisgarh. It is a state government university that is granted by the University Grant Commission. It has three constituent colleges namely College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry in Durg, College of Dairy Technology in Raipur, and College of Fisheries in Kawardha. The university provides courses under UG, PG, and Doctoral level in various fields of education.
Chhattisgarh Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya Courses
- The undergraduate courses include B.V.Sc (Bachelor of Veterinary Science) and Animal Husbandry (AH) for the 5 years of duration.
- B.F.Sc (Bachelor of Fisheries Science) for 4 years duration, and B.Tech in Dairy Science and Food Technology specializations.
- The postgraduate courses include M.Tech in Dairy Chemistry, Dairy Engineering, Dairy Microbiology, Dairy Science & Food Technology.
- M.V.Sc (Master of Veterinary Science) in Animal Genetics & Breeding, Animal Nutrients, Animal Reproduction Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Veterinary Anatomy and Histology, Veterinary Biochemistry specializations.
- The research program includes a Ph.D. in Dairy Science and Food Technology, Veterinary Clinical Medicine Ethics and Jurisprudence, Veterinary Microbiology, and so on.
Eligibility Criteria
- Admission in B.V.Sc, B.F.Sc, A.H is based on merit and should have class 12th with Physics, chemistry, Biology from a recognized board.
- Admission in B.Tech is decided by the Pre Engineering Test conducted by the university and candidates should have passed higher secondary with PCM.
- Admission in M.Tech is decided by the entrance examination conducted by the Vishwavidyalaya and candidates must have a B.Tech degree.
- Candidates seeking admission in the Ph.D. should have to clear the entrance exam and must have a master’s degree in a relevant subject.
