Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar is a government institute that was inaugurated by the Ministry of Human Resource Department in 2008. The main campus of the institute is situated at Palaj village in Gandhinagar, Gujarat and the campus has given a 5-star rating for its healthy food and greeny environment. The institute was ranked 24 for Engineering, and 35 for Overall by NIRF in 2020. IITGN provides UG, PG, and Doctoral level courses in the field of Engineering, Science, and Technology.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates seeking admission in UG, PG, and Ph.D. must have completed their higher secondary, graduation, and post-graduation with a minimum 55% aggregate.
• Admission in B.Tech is decided by the JEE Advanced marks
• Admission in M.Sc is decided by the IIT-JAM (Joint Admission Test for Masters)
• Admission in M.Tech is granted through GATE examination
• Admission in Ph.D. is permitted on the basis of NET/CSIR score, followed by personal interview, thesis report

Placement

The institute provides career development services (CDR) that handles all the activities related to the campus placement. It is responsible to optimize the professional & interpersonal skills of students by conducting career counseling, group discussion, mock tests, resume preparation, etc. about 80% of the students are selected every year on the average salary package of almost 9 lakh per annum and the highest salary package offered was 40 Lakh per annum. Some of the top recruiters include Bank of India, Cognizant, DRDO, BPCL, ISRO, ITC, KPIT (Germany), and many more.
