Sri Venkateswara University (commonly referred to as S. V. University or SVU) is a state university in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India. It was founded in 1954 by chief minister Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu. The university is named after Lord Venkateswara whose shrine is located in the city. The college grounds cover a huge zone ashore gave by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. It is spotted on the West side of Tirupati, encompassed by alternate colleges in the city, in particular Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, Sri Venkateswara Vedic University, Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences and Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha. It holds a NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) rating of "A" with a score of 3.13 out of 4.
The University was positioned at 37th rank research college in 2013, and got an above normal rating in 2014. It was the 31st college to be implicit India, and after the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, 2014 it is the second most established college in Andhra Pradesh, after Andhra University. Sri Venkateswara University College of Engineering is a self-governing organization whose establishment was laid by the late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first PM of India, on 13 October 1959. The "Mission" is to create qualified and equipped subjects through showing and preparing, grow the skylines of learning through exploration, to give information and backing to different associations for their compelling working, to help the making of a content and solid society through productive collaboration with it, and to partake in the advancement of the general public.
