Atal Bihari Vajpai Hindi Vishwavidyalaya is a Hindi medium state university and it was set up by the state government of Madhya Pradesh. The university was started on 19 December 2011 and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission. The main aim of the university is to enhance education, teaching, training, and research through the Hindi medium. The campus of the Atal Bihari Vajpai Hindi Vishwavidyalaya is built on 50 acres of land. The university has a library, lab, medical, cafeteria within the campus. The faculties are highly qualified & experienced for the various courses in the university.

Eligibility Criteria
- The admission to the various courses of the university is granted on the merit-base.
- For undergraduate courses, candidates need to have 10+2 passed out.
- The admission to PG courses is given on the basis of a graduation degree in the relevant stream.
- The admission to B.Ed courses is decided by the valid score in the MP-PRE-BEd exam.
Other Facilities
The university provides a central library with a large collection of books, journals for the students.
The university has a well-equipped computer lab and a Bio lab.
There is also a scholarship program (Awas Sahayata Yojana) run by the university for the SC/ST students.
Another scholarship scheme named Post-Matric Chatravriti and Mukhya Mantri Medhavi Vidhyarthi Yojana is available to help financially weaker students.
