Punjab University is an open Autonomous college found in Chandigarh Union Territory, India. It was secured in 1882 making it one of the most seasoned colleges in India. Punjab University was positioned at No.1 College in India in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings list 2013-14. The yard is private, spread in excess of 550 sections of land (2.2 km2) in parts 14 and 25 of the city of Chandigarh. This is accredited by UGC [University Grants Commission (India)], NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) and AIU (Association of Indian Universities). The principle regulatory and scholastic structures are placed in segment 14, adjacent to a wellbeing focus, a games complex, inns and private housing.
The college has 75 showing and exploration offices and 15 focuses/seats for showing and examination at the principle yard placed at Chandigarh. It has 10 partnered universities spread over the conditions of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and U.t. of Chandigarh, with Regional Centers at Muktsar, Ludhiana and Hoshiarpururba
The 75 divisions, 15 focuses/seats on the yard and four local focuses are assembled under the staffs of Arts, Science, dialects, law, instruction and Fine Arts, Business administration and Commerce, Engineering and Technology, Medical Sciences, and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Most divisions have their own libraries.
