There are two Airport in Bihar.
Gaya Airport (GAY) - This airport is located just 5 KM from the main city of Bhodhgaya and mainly caters the Bhodh pilgrims coming from the various countries. Have both national and international flights facilities too. Parking, food, baggage etc facility are available in ample amount. This airport is well connected form the main city by rail, bus and other sources of transportation. Several international flight operators like Thai airways have their operations at this airport. Medical facilities for senior citizens are also available and special provision for handicapped has been done. Total length of runway is around 2254 meters and spread in 900 plus acres of land. Further expansion of the airport is under considerations.
Patna Airport: Patna Airport has been in service from 1973 and has become major mode of transportation. Flights to major metro city of India are available here. Facilities for shopping, eating, medical, parking etc are available as per the requirement of the passenger. Also this airport is full quipped with the latest security checks. Connectivity is also good as this is only 5Km away from the major city and transportation means like Bus, Car and train are readily available till here.
