The National Defence Academy is the first tri-services academy of the Indian Armed Forces. It is also known as NDA. This consolidated services academy belongs to the Indian Armed Forces. The candidates who are appearing in the NDA entrance examination can easily join any of the three services, the Indian Air Force, the Indian Navy and the Indian Army. NDA exam is conducted twice every year by UPSC. The Naval Academy Examination is also conducted by UPSC twice a year. The National Defence Academy announces a total number of 355 posts for the candidates. Among these 355 total posts, 66 posts are reserved for the Indian Air Force Services, 39 posts for the Indian Navy and 195 posts for the Indian Army Services. The candidates who are interested in taking admission in the National Defence Academy can fill an online application form. If you are interested in joining the Indian Army services, then you need to be class 12th pass from CBSE, ICSE or state board. If you are interested in joining the Indian Air Force or the Indian Navy services, then you need to be class 12th passed with Mathematics and Physics. All 12th class appearing candidates can also fill in the NDA application form.
All the eligible candidates can fill in the application form that is available on the official website of UPSCwww.upsconline.nic.in Make sure that you fill in the application form online before 20th January, 2014. Also remember to take a print out of the application form for any future identification. All the applicants will be required to pay a charge of Rs 50 in order to fill in the NDA 2014 application form.
