The Savitribai Phule Pune University (in the past the University of Pune), is a college placed in western India, in the city of Pune. It was established in 1948 and is one of India's chief Universities. Spread over a 411 sections of land (1.66 km2) campus, the college is home to 46 scholarly offices. The college has been given the most elevated "A" rating by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) for its general execution.
The college has various subsidiary schools, divisions, departments, and research institutes, which play a major role in education the masses all across the state as well as the nation. That university is accredited by UGC [University Grants Commission (India)], NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) and AIU (Association of Indian Universities).
In 1949, there were 18 schools subsidiary to the college (counting universities, for example, the Film and Television Institute of India, Fergusson College, College of Engineering, Pune) with an enrolment of in excess of 8000 understudies. From there on, the quantity of universities expanded, and in 2010, the college had 41 graduate offices, 433 subsidiary schools and 232 perceived examination organizations, with an enrolment of 496,531 understudies for both the undergrad and graduate courses.
