Davangere University was set up by the Government of Karnataka on 18th August 2009 at Shivagangothri in Davangere, Karnataka. The university comprises 112 affiliated colleges with one constituent college and one autonomous college. The university provides UG and PG level courses in the field of Arts, Commerce & Management, Science & Technology, and Education. The university is one of the members of the Association of Indian Universities and approved by the University Grant Commission.
Davangere University Courses
The courses are given below:
- Full-Time B.Sc and BA for 3 years
- Full-Time M.Sc for 2 years in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Botany, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Food Technology, Mathematics, Yogic Science, Physics, Statistics, and Zoology
- Full-Time MA for 2 years in Kannada, English, Urdu, Hindi, Political Science, Sociology, Education, Performing Arts, Music, Fashion Technology, History, Journalism & Mass Communication, and Economics
- The other courses are M.Com, MBA, MSW, M.Ed, PG Diploma
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates seeking admission in MBA should have valid marks in the PGCET/ KEA/CMAT entrance exam and also have a graduation degree with a minimum 45% aggregate
- Candidates seeking admission in UG courses should have 10+2 passed from a recognized board and have a valid score in the entrance exam conducted by the university

The university runs various scholarship programs to support needy and economically weaker students like M/s. Jindal Trust Scholarship, Scholarships to Physically handicapped students, Scholarship for students belonging to ST/SC, NTPC Scholarships, and Scholarships from the Postal Department.
