Rajiv Gandhi International Airport is the largest commercial airport in the Telangana and situated in Hyderabad city. Earlier Begumpet Airport was the commercial one, but now it has been closed off. The construction fro this airport started in the year 2005 as Public and Private Partnership project. GMR, a renowned company when it comes to the construction part is the major holder of this airport. The airport was divided to be completed in three phases and hence, will cater all the needs of the present and future.
The Air traffic control tower located here is around 72 m tall and has good angle view. There will be three terminals at this airport and one extra terminal for the cargo operations. This airport comes under the top 100 airports in the world.
