Common Admission Test also known as CAT is a test for admission into the B-schools. This test is an annual test and this year the CAT exam board has come up with various changes in the exam pattern and here is the list of exam pattern to be followed in CAT 2015.

  • CAT 2015 candidates will be getting 180 minutes to solve 100 questions. This time has been increased form the one that happened in the previous year. The candidates will be getting exactly 180 minutes and the test will be computer based online examination.
  • The CAT 2015 will be divided into 3 sections with each section having a cut off time of 60 minutes. The candidate will get 60 minutes for each section. The candidate will have to spend 60 minutes on one section if once started.
  • The test will be divided into 3 sections namely Quantitative Analysis (QA), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) and Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC). The 3 sections will have 100 questions in total with QA and VRC having 34 question each and DILR having 32.
  • Each section will have a combination of MCQ as well non multiple questions. For the second type of questions the candidates will be required to type the answers directly on the screen.
  • One of the biggest change in this year is that the candidates will be allowed to use on-screen calculator. This has been the major change in this year and will be good for candidates.
