Islamic University of Science and Technology is a state-owned university that was started in 2015 with the main aim to provide higher education for the people of Jammu & Kashmir state and its neighboring regions. It is ranked 151 in Indian universities by NIRF. The university is one of the members of the Association of Indian Universities and accredited by the NAAC. The university provides a wide range of courses at UG, PG, Diploma, Certificates, and Doctoral level in the field of Engineering, Science, Management, etc. It has collaborated with Delhi University, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, United Nations University of Peace Costa Rica, and the University of Kashmir.

Eligibility Criteria
- Admission to B.Tech is decided by the JEE Main score and candidates must have completed higher secondary with PCM subjects from a recognized board
- Admission to M.Tech is provided on the basis of valid marks in the GATE
- Admission to MBA is provided on the basis of qualifying marks in the CMAT followed by GD and personal interview
- Admission to Ph.D. is granted on the basis of a valid score in the UGC NET/CSIR NET
