The WBJEE 2016 is slated for May 17 and the online applications are to be released from the early quarter of January. The exam will have questions from Physics, Chemistry, Maths & Biological Sciences. According to reports from West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board, the WBJEE 2016 result would be declared on June 5. The candidates would have to log in to the official website to view their results.
The 2016 WBJEE result would come up with the merit list of the qualified candidates. The merit list would be prepared according to the cut off of WBJEE 2016. Those who qualify for the merit list would be called for counseling and admission in the engineering/technology or medical colleges of the state. There would be 3 separate merit lists for Engineering, Medical & Pharmacy.
In regards to ties in marks, WBJEE has certain tie-breaker rules for the 3 merit lists.
For Engineering:
- Less negative score in PCM taken together.
- More positive marks in Physics and Mathematics or Chemistry & Mathematics taken together.
- Less negative score in Chemistry & Mathematics or Physics & Mathematics taken together
- More positive marks in Mathematics or Physics or Chemistry for questions carrying 2 marks.
- Less negative marks in Mathematics or Physics for questions carrying 2 marks.
For Medical
- Less negative score in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together.
- More positive marks in Physics and Biology or Chemistry & Biology taken together.
- Less negative score in Chemistry & Biology or Physics & Biology taken together
- More positive marks in Biology or Physics or Chemistry for questions carrying 2 marks.
- Less negative marks in Biology or Chemistry or Physics for questions carrying 2 marks.
For Pharmacy (for institutes other than Jadavpur University)
- Less negative score in Physics & Chemistry.
- More positive marks in Chemistry.
- Less negative score in Chemistry
- More positive marks in Chemistry for questions carrying 2 marks.
- Less negative marks in Chemistry for questions carrying 2 marks.
- More positive marks in Physics for questions carrying 2 marks.
- Less negative marks in Physics for questions carrying 2 marks
