WBJEE 2021 Eligibility Criteria
Following are the WBJEE exam eligibility criteria:
- The applicant needs to have scored at least 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the last two years of their 10+2 educations for General Category. OBC, ST and SC categories need only 40% minimum marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics. All candidates should score minimum 30% marks in English.
- Only Indian citizens are allowed to appear in this examination. Students who are born in India, live in India or have Indian citizenship can apply for the WBJEE engineering entrance examination.
- The minimum age for a candidate to apply for the WBJEE engineering entrance examination is 17 years. No upper age limitations are applied on this exam except for the Marine engineering course which has an upper age limit of 25 years age.
- Domicile candidates are allowed to appear in the WBJEE engineering entrance examination. This criterion requires the student to live in the state for duration of ten years. The students or his parents must have continuously resided in the state of West Bengal for past ten years. The duration will be counted by the end of December, 2020.
- For Marine Engineering, applicants must score aggregate 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in intermediate. Marine engineering applicants also require 50% minimum marks in English in intermediate and high school.
