Nizamabad

Nizamabad District of Andhra Pradesh is also known as the InDuru District. Nizamabad District is the place where the Holy River Godavari Enter the state of Andhra Pradesh at Kandhakurthi. The district has its name from two words: Nizam meaning the Rulers and Abad referring to the long lives of the Nizams.  Nizamabad has a population of 25 lacs which makes it the second least populated district of the state of Andhra Pradesh. Interestingly, the district gives birth to 1038 females when compared to every 1000 males.The region is not that much developed industrially as well as agriculturally. The district is a part of the list of 250 most underdeveloped districts of India. It mainly runs on the funds provided by the Backward Regions Grant Fund Program of the Indian Government. More than 80 % of the population live below the line of Poverty.
