The district of Panipat is an extremely important district to for the state of Haryana. The district houses its main centre of administration in the historical city of Panipat itself. The district of Panipat was created when land was scrapped out of the Karnal districts in the year of 1989. The district was gain brought under the administration of the Karnal districts in the year of 1991 only to be separated again in the year of 1992.
