The district of Fazilka is one of the 22 districts that comprise the northern state of Punjab. The district of Fazilka was initially a part of the district of Firozepur, which was later separated into Fazilka and Firozepur. The district is one of the newest districts of the state of Punjab. The district is bordered by the districts of Sri Mukhtasar Sahib, and Firozepur. The district is also bordered by the state of Rajasthan. The district also shares an international boundary with Pakistan. The district has the River Sutlej running through the land. The district is one of those districts that have got the extremes of temperatures owing to the vast and arid desert that it has. The district has one of the most extreme heats during the day and during the nights the temperatures fall to a great deal.
