The district of Farrukhabad is one of the central districts of the state of Uttar Pradesh. The district of Farrukhabad is a part of the Kanpur division and has its main centre for the control of administration in the city of Farrukhabad itself. The district of Farrukhabad is bordered by the other districts of Badaun. Hardoi, Shahjhanpur, Kannauj, Etah, and Mainpuri. The district of Farrukhabad also has the rivers of Ganges, Ramganga and Kali flowing through the heart of the land. The district was divided to create the district of Kannauj in the year 1997. The district of Farrukhabad covers a land area of approximately about 2279 sq km with a population which is approximately about 15.7 lacs individuals. The district of Farrukhabad has a population density of approximately about 865 people per sq km. The district also has a few places of tourist interests which bring in occupation to a few people of the district.
