Alwar

The district of Alwar is one of the districts with very huge amount of people living there. The district is located on the eastern parts of the state which literally accounts for the high population. The district is bordered by the districts of Dausa and Jaipur and by the state of Haryana. The district of Alwar is also important historically as its roots go back to the times of Mahabharata. The district was primarily ruled by the small rulers hailing from the tribes of Gujjars and Pratihars. The district is also the birth place of the great ruler, Samrat Hem Chandra Vikramaditya. The district of Alwar covers a land area of approximately around 8380 sq km with a population of about 36.7 lacs individuals. The district of Alwar has a population density of approximately around 438 people per sq km. The district has quite a few industries and a lot of places of tourist interest that adds to the economy of the district.
