The district of Jalore is one of the many districts that make up the state of Rajasthan. The main administrative centre of the district of Jalore is the city of Jalore itself. The district of Jalore is bordered by the other districts of Barmer, Pali and Sirohi. The district is also bordered by the state of Gujarat. The district is located on the southern part of the state. The district is one of the driest districts of the state with a small tributary named Sukri, of river Luni flows through the region.The district of Jalore covers a land area of approximately 10640 sq km with a population density of 172 people per sq km. The district of Jalore has a total population of about 18.3 lacs individuals. The district has agriculture as its main occupation but the lack of water supplies makes it very difficult.
