The district of Jhalawar is one of the districts that make up the complete north – western state of Rajasthan. The district of Jhalawar is bordered by the other districts of Kota and Baran. The district of Jhalawar is also bordered by the state of Madhya Pradesh on many sides. The district has its main centre for the control of administration in the city of Jhalawar itself. The district of Jhalawar was previously a princely state which was later added to the Indian Contingent after the year of 1947. The district is a very important part of the Kota Division. The district of Jhalawar covers a land area of approximately about 6928 sq km with a population that approximately amounts up to around about 14.1 lacs individuals. The district of Jhalawar has a population density of approximately about 227 people per sq km of the total area. The district is located right at the edge of the Malwa Plateau.
