Rajgarh

The district of Rajgarh is located in the northern part of the Malwa Plateau of the state of Madhya Pradesh. The district also has River Parbati and River Kali Sindhflowing through its main heartland. The district is bordered by the state of Rajasthan and the districts of Bhopal, Guna, Sehore, and Sahajapur. The district is a prominent part of the Bhopal Division. The district of Rajgarh came into being in the year 1948 recently after the Independence of India from the rule of the British forces. The district also comprises of mostly the princely states and some other parts. The district has a area of 6154 sq km under its administration. The population that the district holds in this area is approximately around 15.4 lacs individuals. The district has a population density of around about 251 people per sq km. The district of Rajgarh is a part of the list of the 250 most backward districts of India.
