The district of Seoni is a part of the flat highlands of the Satpura region. The district has the majority of its area covered with forests and the lands down here are extremely good and fertile. The whole of the table land is filled with crystalline rocks and black soil which makes it much more suitable for cultivation. The main river that flow s through the heartland of Seoni is the River Wainganga which is mainly responsible for the agricultural practices that get along down here. The district of Seoni has a land area of 8758 sq km with a population of approximately about 13.7 lacs individuals. The district has a population density of 157 people per sq km.
