The district of Seikhpura is a part of the Munger division. The district came into being in the year 1994. The main city that administers the working of the district is the city of Seikhpura itself. The district was created when land was scrapped off from the district of Munger. The district has a land area of 689 sq km making it the smallest district of Bihar. The district is known for the kind of great and tactical political leaders it has produced. The district of Seikhpura accommodates a population of meagre 6 lacs individuals approximately. This population makes it the least populated district of Bihar. The district of Seikhpura is highly dependent on the Agricultural practices that the people of the land do. The main food crops include Rice, Wheat, Maize, Pulses, Etc. Although the district has a population of just 63 thousand approximately, the density of population is about 922 individuals. The district is placed at the list of the 250 most backward districts of India and currently the district is receiving funds from the government under the Backward Regions Grant Fund Program.
