The district of Sheohar is on the administrative districts of the state of Bihar. The district finds itself as a part of The Tirhut Division. The main administrative city is the city of Sheohar. The district of Sheohar came into existence on the map of India in the year 1994 when it was scrapped of the land of the Sitamarhi district. The district occupies an even smaller area that Seikhpura District with approximately 400 sq km. The district is highly famous all over Bihar owing to the Ancient Shiva Temple at Dhancoul. The district accommodates a population of approximately 6 lacs and 50 thousand individuals over its small area. The district has a population density of a whooping 1892 individuals per sq km. The district is mainly dependent on Agriculture for its broken economy to survive. The district is a part of the list of the 250 most backward districts that is presently surviving on the funds donated by the Government of India.
